100 bicycles to The Overstrand District
The Overstrand district received 100 bicycles on Friday, 14th August 2020. These bicycles were distributed to eligible members who live within the project area and participating in the Adult Mobility Programme. This is part of the Provincial Sustainable Transport Programme, in collaboration with Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works Pedal Power Association Bicycling Empowerment Network, Overstrand Municipality and QhubekaCharity. These bicycles were distributed to the following organisations:-
Overstrand Municipality – Fire Unit x 15
Overstrand Municipality – Law Enforcement Unit x 15
Overstrand Municipality – Environmental Services Unit x 15
Overstrand Municipality – Traffic Unit x 15
Zwelihle Neighbourhood Watch x 10
Onrus-Vermont Neighbourhood Watch x 8
Hermanus, Kleinmond, Stanford, Gansbaai SAPS x 12
Franskraal Neighbourhood Watch x 5
Pearly Beach OORD Neighbourhood Watch x 5
