Who are We
Our People
BEN currently has a permanent complement of four staff members. These include:
• Timothy Mosdell is the CEO of BEN and is also responsible for project and programme management within the organisation.
• Yvonne Tripod is BEN’s financial officer and project administrator. She is also instrumental in the administration of the organisation.
• Sue Strybis is an office administrator and also assists with project administration.
• Jason Kapank is our workshop manager and mechanic. He also plays a role in supporting the admin function within BEN.
In addition to this, BEN also makes use of service providers on contract.
Our Partners
We work closely with a number of partner organisations. Notably, we partner with Pedal Power Association (PPA) on a number of key initiatives, including our joint Bike4All project and our Cool Kid on a Bike Safety initiative. We often find ourselves working on joint projects with them, including the Provincial Department of Transport’s Provincial Sustainable Transport Programme.
We also enjoy a very close working partnership with Re~Cycle in the UK, our primary supplier of donated bicycles.
Other partners include the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Langa Bicycle Hub, Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT), Khaltsha Cycles, Claremont Rotary, to name a few.
