No bicycle leaves BEN without the rider learning how to ride safely.

Knowing how to handle a bicycle in traffic is what turns it into something you use every day, not just something you own. Cyclists, drivers and people on foot share the same roads, and everyone has a part to play in keeping each other safe.

Cool Kid on a Bike

With the Pedal Power Association we developed the Cool Kid on a Bike curriculum and safety booklet. It is written for primary and high school learners and has reached thousands of children. The booklet shows children how to ride safely, how to be seen, and how to use hand signals to communicate with other road users.

Cool Kid on a Bike is taught at schools across the Western Cape.
