20 January 2025 – Today, we were thrilled to welcome one of our Bicycle Empowerment Centre (BEC) partners Deon from Struisbaai, who came out to purchase bicycles for their thriving tourism business!
Their growing venture along the stunning Coast of the Western Cape is a testament to how bicycles can transform communities -not just as a mode of transport, but as tools for building sustainable businesses and boosting local economies.
From guided cycling tours to rental opportunities, this BEC is showcasing how eco-friendly tourism can thrive in our beautiful region. We’re so proud to see how the skills and support provided by BEN are creating ripple effects of empowerment and opportunity.

Exciting News from BEN!
14 December 2024 – We are thrilled to announce the arrival of a container filled with second-hand bicycles generously donated by Bike For Humanity in Australia!
These bikes will soon be distributed to our Community Bicycle Empowerment Centres across the Western Cape, empowering individuals with affordable, sustainable transport and new opportunities.
A massive thank you to Bike For Humanity for their generosity and support in helping us empower communities and change lives through bicycles!
